On 16 October 2025, a GREENGAGE Datathon takes place in Barton Hill, Bristol (UK), as part of the city’s first Civic Observatory under the GREENGAGE project.
The event is bringing together local participants to actively monitor their neighbourhood using the GREENGAGE App, focusing on travel safety and the accessibility of public paths for pedestrians. Through this hands-on activity, community members will contribute valuable data reflecting everyday experiences of mobility and accessibility within their area.
In addition to digital data collection, the Conversation Station will be present to record the voices and perspectives of residents, capturing qualitative insights to complement the observational data.
This datathon represents an important milestone in the establishment of Bristol’s Civic Observatory, highlighting how citizen participation and digital tools can work together to support inclusive, data-informed urban development.
