Active Citizenship in Gerace with the GREENGAGE App – Online Webinar

An online webinar entitled “Active citizenship in Gerace with the GREENGAGE App” will be held on 12 September 2025 at 6:00 PM, organized by the Municipality of Gerace in collaboration with the GREENGAGE partner I Borghi più Belli d’Italia.
The initiative is created to promote a participatory, creative and inclusive approach to the care of the territory. The event is intended to present the GREENGAGE app, freely available on Android and iOS, through which every citizen will be able to actively contribute to environmental protection and local collaborative dialogue:
- Participate in decision-making processes and local initiatives through the Observatory “Gerace, beauty to live and protect”;
- Report abandoned waste, environmental damage and invasive alien species;
- Insert ideas and observations to promote active citizenship;
- To support a community that is aware and committed to the preservation of natural and cultural heritage.
The meeting will serve as an occasion to collect input from citizens, which may be used to adapt the GREENGAGE app to local needs and promote concrete projects of creative reuse and environmental protection. The role of recycling and upcycling as creative practices for environmental protection will also be addressed.
